Ultimate Frisbee (also known simply as ‘Ultimate’, Frisbee being a trademark of the Wham-O toy company), is a sport ready to hit the mainstream. Great Britain, featuring Lincolnshire’s Rob Coddington, came seventh in the 2013 Under-23 Ultimate Championships and also competed in the World Games, albeit coming rock bottom of the six-team group. Here in Lincolnshire, the sport is largely confined to schools, colleges and universities, but it is possible for anyone to have a go. Sincil Sports College offer a disc sport training course, or simply get a group of friends together and get a game going.
