Lincoln 10k Road Race

Over 4,000 runners took to the streets of Lincoln on Sunday 6th April for the 10k Road Race, many of whom donned extravagant costumes to raise money for charity. Lincoln’s 10K road race

Here’s one for you cardio enthusiasts; on April 6th Lincoln will be holding it’s 18th Active Nation City of Lincoln 10K road race.

With 4,000 racers having already entered there are still 1,500 spaces left to fill. If you want to have a go at testing your own limits this might be a good place to start. At just over 6 miles it is a long enough race to really push you and assess your own limits, but its not a marathon; nor is it anywhere near the distance of a marathon.

Entry is £21 for those who are part of a running club and £23 for those of you who aren’t.

You can even get involved and not worry about having to run, the events team are trying to gather as many volunteers as possible to help out with handing out medals, water and just making sure the whole event runs to plan.

Theres something for all ages as there will be children’s races and even a wheelchair race, so anybody and everybody can get involved.

Volunteers must be over the age of 18, but anyone wanting to volunteer can email 10keventofficer@lincoln.gov.uk

For you racers out there that are eager to get on the road you can enter on the website  www.lincoln10k.co.uk , or call 01522 873771. The cut off date for the event is 4pm March 21st.
